Brian trained in marketing with British American Tobacco UK & Export and went on to successfully manage an international brand portfolio of established branded products. Senior posts followed in the international marketing management industry, including Board Director and Head of Business Development posts with the Publicis Group, formerly DMB&B (Irl), advising clients Procter & Gamble, Masterfoods and Friends Provident.

Joining the I.T. industry in Ireland in the mid 1990’s, Brian developed specialist skills in telecoms and internet technologies with MCI, formerly MCIWorldcom, and subsequently joined Openet International in 1999 as Head of Investor Relations and helped grow this telecom billing mediation start up business. Brian was part of the team that successfully managed the acquisition of its wholly owned subsidiary, Openet Telecom, by a leading U.S. venture Capital firm in 2001. Brian relocated to the Isle of Man in 2001 as the Foreign Direct Investment I.T. Consultant to Manx Telecom and Government Treasury joining the latter’s Isle of Man Finance Division in a full time capacity in 2003.

Brian’s current focus is attracting foreign direct investment to the Island’s growing financial services industry in general and to global asset/fund management in particular. Brian represents Isle of Man Finance at key international Hedge Fund events and works closely with A.I.M.A. (Alternative Investment Management Association) and the I.O.M.F.M.A. (Isle of Man Fund Management Association).
